OIALT - SINGLE MALT SCOTCH

What do you do when you stumble upon some damn fine Scotch, then find out not even 400 bottles exist in the whole world and finally see a well intended but not so fine label (think MS paint)?

Well, Mike found himself another little side project.

Once a year, Whisky craftsman Mr. Regener sets out to discover some unique barrels in the beautiful valleys of Scotland, occasionally ships in the odd Port, Sherry or Wine barrel from his friends in the South of Europe to finish it off and then bottles a unique Single Malt. And once it's gone, it's gone.

This quest inspired OIALT, which I'm sure you've guessed stands for "Once In A Life Time".
And what's with the mugshot on the label? Same goes, as unique a character as the bottled spirit itself.

Its 2016 launch edition holds Mr. Charles Bukowski – a true one off and Whisky lover.
And sadly – same as OIALT – once gone, he won't come back.

2016 VOODOO DOLL

2016 was right up there with the shittest years on record. Ok, so we didn't lose half the population to bubonic plague or engage in a full on nuclear war. But still, the universe saw fit to avail us with: Brexit, Trump, global warming, natural disaster, contagious disease, hooliganism, violence, corruption, social unrest, terrorism and that's before you even start on the literary, musical and entertainment luminaries who departed this mortal coil. We felt an overwhelming desire to seek vengeance on 2016 so we create the "Worst Year Trevor" voodoo doll. A physical homage to everything that went wrong, which came complete with an extra long pin to stab the events that hurt your heart the most.

RYVITA

Our challenge with this Ryvita print campaign was to make it feel a little less at home in Good Housekeeping and a bit more fitting for Stylist magazine instead. We still had to feature the product and toppings but in an effort to generate visual interest we created 3D sets with colours that referenced the topping. By shooting from about we removed any natural horizon lines which helped keep the layout vibrant.

BRAIN CHEESE

For the most electrifying night terrors, our good friend James Mitchell and us thought that it'd be a fun idea to spike some strong cheese with some nasty Chilli, Nutmeg and Ginger. Throughout the Haloween period, The Cheeseboard in Greenwich sold a limited run of Brain Cheese to daring customers.

ADIDAS – TEAM MESSI

To launch Lionel Messi's official Adidas Facebook page we created a series of posters in collaboration with Japanese artist Tadaomi Shibuya. Visitors to the page filled out a short questionnaire and were rewarded with a customised image and philosophy based on their footballing preferences. These images became part of the Museum of Messi in Barcelona which was opened by Leo himself.

OXO SQUEEZY

We helped Oxo launch their new squeezy tubes with this warm TV spot. We decided the family should feel modern but we kept gave a nod to the originals by bringing back the Oxo dad.

SHREDDIES

Giving away vouchers by themselves can be a little dull so we persuaded Shreddies to let us make a game that lived on facebook instead. The vouchers became the prizes for flicking Shreddies into a bowl guarded by two slightly psychotic cats. PLAY HERE »

WILLKOMMEN IN UNTERBECK

Kids are awesome at imagining things but can be awkward when it comes to the boring stuff like brushing their teeth. To solve this problem we wrote and illustrated a book about fish who live in the u-bend in your bathroom. They feed off of the toothpaste that falls down when you brush your teeth. Our ultimate goal is for kids to empty entire tubes of toothpaste down the sink, but we'll settle for them brushing their teeth more often.
